Director’s Report
Administration: Juli Moreno
Site:
? One year lease signed by town and Mason’s. Re-negotiate next April.
? Back door sticking at times, stays open and not secure, working on fixing
? Two more newer model vans replaced older versions, through Mass DOT and FRTA
Network:
? MCOA has a new resource library online, as well as a new conversation thread ability. Juli took a
virtual tour. As membership dues are due, it is good to know there is access to resources and support.
? Boston University Collins Center continues to assist with data and IT issues connected to grant, as well
as providing IT resources and support.
? Working with the Community Vision project with school and Mary Lyon.
? Attending and providing resources at town events, like Buckland Old Home Days, Ashfield’s Fall
Festival. Supporting Shelburne’s Music on the Porch series as well.
Staffing:
? Interviewing someone as a part time, on call, FRTA driver. Hopefully she will join the team!
? Agenda-driven monthly staff meetings occurring, meeting notes available.
Programming:
? Working with Travel Kuz for a trip in July, not as much interest as hoped, will navigate bus or no bus.
? Hybrid Programming grant making progress. Laptop and I-pads delivered. Weekly classes happening
through the end of May, weekly classes. Internet Café twice monthly as well.
? Will start Zooming Bones and Balance, with the goal to include people who are physically unable to
make it to The Senior Center.
? Recorded two podcasts of Suddenly Senior…Now What? We have a site to distribute it to podcast
sites.
Marketing:
? Facebook presence, Instagram, increased followers by 4 this past month.
? Newsletter continues to receive positive feedback, more requests for mailing list slot, over 20 more
added to the email list.
? Sharing events with various vendor newsletters such as Lifepath, West County Shopper, Ashfield news.
Budget:
? Reviewing current utilization and what areas need to be adjusted and reviewed.
? Completed three bill runs, coding and budgeting. Completed five Turnover of cash and donations to
Town Hall.
? Completed FRTA, RSVP, Caregiver Grant monthly reports.

Risk / Counseling:
? 20 check-in calls or home visits to at risk and/or isolated seniors.
? Continuing to work with police depts regarding protective service cases.
? provided supportive counseling 18 times.

Off Site Office Hours:
? Outreach hours at Ashfield Town Hall 1st Thursday am of the month.
? Outreach office hours Buckland Town Hall, 2nd Thursday am of the month.
Lifepath grant status:
? coordinated home repair or technology support for 10.
? co-facilitated monthly Caregiver Support Group with 10 attending, addition of companion for caree’s
during support group.
? co-facilitated monthly Memory Cafe with 16 attending.
? Facilitated Familiar Friends respite drop off, 10am-1pm.
Applications:

? assisted 5 with housing applications and/or provided necessary information about housing.
