Director’s Report

Administration: Juli Moreno

Site:

  • Anyone know someone who would cart away old furniture and supplies?

Network:

  • Talking with SCD’s in area, especially South County regarding FRTA and multi-town issues
  • Attended Rural Conference in Devens April 26th
  • Partnering with Shelburne Historical Society and others for future events and specialized programming
  • Digital Equity Grant, 100,00 due May 22
  • Open Air committee tour walks starting in May, Birdwatching Club has started!
  • Computer Store- Ian will help us with pc maintenance

Staffing:

  • Agenda-driven weekly staff meetings occurring, meeting notes available
  • Teddy in SHINE training May to June

Programming:

  • Bird watching Club, CraftMaster group, Origami all new
  • Social History project showcase in late June at Historical Society, will do Ashfield and Buckland in coming months

Marketing:

  • Posts and information sharing on social media
  • Revision of newsletter format and style, color, completed
  • Sharing of events with various vendor newsletters

Budget:

  • Surplus of roughly 60,000, letter to town auditors as to spending down.
  • Completed two bill runs, coding and budgeting
  • Completed three Turnover of cash and donations to Town Hall
  • Completed FRTA, RSVP, Caregiver Grant monthly reports

  • coordinated home repair or technology support for 11
  • co-facilitated monthly Caregiver Support Group with 10 attending
  • co-facilitated monthly Memory Cafe with 16 attending

Applications:

  • CISA and Farm Share- 20
  • helped 1 with RMV issues
  • referred 1 for Home Modification Program
  • assisted 4 with housing applications and/or provided necessary information about housing

SHINE:

  • SHINE appointments or resolution of insurance issues for 5 (with Leanne once monthly)

Programming Status:

Bi-Weekly Meals to Go:

  • Lifepath meal inside every Thurs - average 9 per meal
  • 4/11 To Go Meal- 61

Health and Clinics:

  • April 10- 12 (B-3, S-5, A-3)

Fitness:

  • Yoga with instructor 8
  • Chair Dance exercise – 8 per session
  • Healthy Bones & Balance exercise program in person, Weds at 10 in Senior Center - 10 people, 2 instructors , Thurs at 10 in Ashfield – 13 people, 2 instructors
  • Tai Chi for Energy- every Tuesday - 10
  • Tai Chi for Arthritis every Thursday – 10

Social:

  • BINGO every Thursday – 10-12 people each time
  • Movie – 3/21-“Where the Crawdads Sing” - 11
  • Knitting group – every Thursday 8-12 people
  • Ashfield COA lunch – 4/6- 10 people
  • Men's Night – 4/12-12:30 Men’s Night to Great Falls Aquaculture- 8

Education and Expression:

  • Social History Project Meeting – 7
  • 4/4- 1:00 SLN “Frontier Army Museum: History of Fort Leavenworth”- 5
  • 4/25- 1:00 SLN “The Petrified Forest National Park” - 5
  • Memoir Writing by Zoom (held every Friday) – 10 people per time
